De senere årene har det dukket opp flere instruktørutdannelser i Norge. Vi ser dette som en positiv utvikling, som gir deg som yogalæreraspirant muligheten til å virkelig velge den utdanningen som passer best for deg og dine behov.

 
HiYogas lærerutdanning er delt opp i to. En grunnleggende utdanning på 200 timer, og en videreutdanning på 300 timer. Begge gir deg sertifisering i Yoga Alliance.  Oppstart: 01.   • Undervise trygge og gode ashtanga yogatimer
  • Etablere en solid egenpraksis som vil være ditt fundament for undervisning. En solid og stødig egenpraksis ser vi som et nødvendig grunnlag for all undervisning, og det er her du vil hente kunnskapen og erfaringen du trenger for å undervise.
  • Forstå yogafilosofiske og etiske prinsipper sett i lys av den transformative prosessen det er å praktisere yoga.
  • Anvende en rekke teknikker i egen praksis, i undervisningen din og i ditt daglige liv; yogapust, avspenning og restorative sekvenser, styrketrening for yoga, anatomiske justeringer, kreative tilnærminger til vinyasabaserte bevegelser og en filosofisk base for utøvelsen av yoga i sin helhet.
  • Bygge en trygghet i deg selv til å finne inspirasjonen og motivasjonen du trenger for å følge en yogisk levevei, slik at du igjennom dette igjen kan inspirere andre.
Igjennom hele kurset vil du øve på å både undervise og justere dine medelever. Dette gjøres i et støttende og positivt læringsmiljø, slik at du utvikler trygghet og sikkerhet i rollen din som yogalærer. Vi underviser yoga slik det er forstått både i tradisjonell østlig forstand, men også slik det praktiseres og undervises her i Vesten. Hovedfokus er på Ashtanga Yogaens Primary Series, eller den første serien, slik den undervises i dag ved K. Pattabhi Jois Institute i Mysore, India av R. Sharath. Elevene lærer fullstendig vinyasa-telling, stillingene i serien, åpnings- og avslutningsmantraene og pusteøvelsene slik de har vært og fortsatt er undervist i Mysore. I en mer vestlig tilnærming, vil vi se på hvordan serien har utviklet seg over mange år, og hvordan modifiserte stillinger kan være nyttig for å støtte utøvere i praksisen. Dette inkluderer restorative og mer terapeutiske tilnærminger til asanapraksis. Teknikker, trening og praksis De grunnleggende teknikker og prinsipper i utøvelsen av Ashtanga Yoga metoden. Vi fordyper oss i Primary Series og vinyasa-telling, fysisk justering av stillinger, verbal undervisning av fysisk praksis, elevens læringsprosess, prana yama-teknikker, og utarbeidelse av vinyasa-sekvenser med fokus på hvordan disse skiller seg fra ashtanga-sekvensene. I tillegg jobbes det med undervisningsmetodikk, anatomi og fysiologi, yogisk anatomiforståelse (chakraer og energisystemer, tankemønstre etc), yogafilosofi, livsstil og etikk. Requirements for Certification

REQUIREMENTS FOR CERTIFICATION Attendance Self-practice Observation Assignments Assessment Scores   a) Attendance is compulsory to complete the course. Missing an entire weekend for whatever reason is not recommended. In case of absence, it is the student´s responsibility to investigate what objectives were presented for the classes missed by approaching their colleagues and Instructors directly. If student cannot attend more than 3 weekends then an option to apply for an extension is recommended. See TT Extension. b) Students record their self-practice sessions throughout the course. The requirement is to accumulate 33hrs minimum of supervised self-practice at HiYoga over the span of 22 weeks. In addition, a remainder of 3 ashtanga practices a week in a class-setting and/or home self-practice using the Primary series DVD provided for the course is expected. * TT students have access to the Mysore-Style classes offered at HiYoga during the TT term. c) Students observe a minimum of 4 Primary Series Led classes whether at HiYoga or at a different studio. They record their observations to be shared in class discussion. * This is purely an observation exercise – no assisting, adjusting nor practicing. d) All home assignments are compulsory i.e. quizzes, research tasks, essays given by faculty instructors must be completed and sent in. They will be corrected during class. e) Participation in the entire assessment process is compulsory to complete the course (asana evaluation, written exam and teaching assessment). Students who cannot attend due to a valid reason (family crises, injury/ illness) may apply for a make-up assessment as to complete their assessment at another time. f) Students with a total score of 60% receive a HiYoga Certificate of Completion.
